THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW PART 1

Watch our Read Scripture video on the book of Matthew, which breaks down the literary design of the book and its flow of thought. In Matthew, Jesus brings God's heavenly kingdom to earth and invites his disciples into a new way of life through his death and resurrection.

Week 1 Teaching Videos

VIDEO #1 - In this video, we do an introduction and cover part of Chapter 1. We discuss the questions, "Why do we have 4 Gospels?" and "What are the Synoptic Gospels?"

Video #2 - In this video, we cover the rest of Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. We discuss issues related to Source Criticism and Contextualization of the Gospel in light of Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

Video #3 - In this video, we discuss Chapter 3 and the Historical Context of the Gospels. It's important to understand the world into which Jesus came.
